DREAM ROLES
DIRECTING
FILM
Millette first fell in love with acting through the behind the scenes DVDs of franchises like "Lord of the Rings" and "Star Wars". Jillian has been fortunate to work on set as an extra, and hopes to continue to expand upon her career in film/tv. Her most recent goal: to play a role in a short film. Millette hopes to work on a multitude of sets and even one day be apart of a project that is submitted to film festivals.
Jillian's theatrical career has already consisted of many achieved goals. Millette is ready to take on greater roles, currently including - but not limited to - An Alternate Queen in"SIX", Fantine in "Les Misérables", Natalie in "Next Normal", Jo March in "Little Women", Elsa and /or Anna in "Frozen", Olive in "Spelling Bee", and Maureen in "RENT".
TEDXTALK
Millette began to take classes in directing/ stage management at age 10 through her local community theatre. Having a great ability to visualize the plays she reads, she was recognized by The 7 Angel Theater's Halo Awards, as a student director at age 17. Jillian took the past few years to pursue her performance career, and with those experiences, she is ready to jump back to the director's chair.
Public speaking has become a greater and greater passion for Millette, after having to advocate for her own and her classmates' accessibility needs throughout high school and conservatory. Having had multiple encounters where her need of accommodation was questioned, she now wants to use her own lived experience to spark conversation of how we can create an entertainment industry that is continually more accessible/inclusive to all current and up-and-coming actors.
